Lynn Border is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who received her undergraduate degree from UC Davis and her Master’s degree from California State University at Northridge. Lynn's career has spanned over 25 years in a range of venues working with children, adults and families experiencing challenges with mental health, developmental and emotional disabilities. Lynn has worked in both the County and private non-profit sectors, with the bulk of her career spent with Ventura County Behavioral Health. There she worked in the Adult Division providing individual and group therapy services to adults diagnosed with a serious mental illness and/or complex trauma. Additionally, Lynn spent many years in the Children and Family Division providing individual and group services to children and adolescents identified with emotional disturbance in school-based and clinic settings. Lynn has also worked with developmentally disabled adults, seniors, child and adult victims of violent crime, and in private practice. Lynn employs an eclectic approach from a strength-based perspective and has a solid background in behavioral intervention. She joins Center4SpecialNeeds as a facilitator for the Kid's Club social skills training groups.
